My Journey as a SDE Intern @ Addteq

Kicking Off My Journey with ADDTEQ

Let me take you to my journey as a very first corporate intern while pursuing my final semester of MCA at NIT Raipur. I recently started my internship as an ADDTEQ SDE Intern!

I found this remote internship opportunity through our campus placement cell. The selection process was quite challenging, involving several rounds that focused heavily on core JavaScript concepts. I distinctly recall a moment when the interviewer requested that I explain how JavaScript manages closures and the event loop. Since I had devoted a significant amount of time to reinforcing my fundamentals, I was able to explain it confidently. That brief interaction elevated my mood, and the remainder of the conversation transformed into a pleasant discussion instead of a tense interview.

Grabbing the offer was a proud and one of the happiest moment for me , which felt like one of those small wins that keeps you going.

Embracing Addteq SDE intern journey

I’ve joined the R&D team, and honestly, the experience so far has been amazing. The people here are relaxed, calm, helpful, and genuinely interested in helping you learn. An individual like me, who’s still figuring things out, I’ve had questions almost every day but the best part is that I’ve never felt awkward asking. Whether it’s about a tool, a process, or just how something works there’s always a team member available to explain. I still remember one instance where I was stuck with a configuration issue, and a senior patiently walked me through the whole setup instead of just giving me a quick fix .

It’s a very open and supportive environment, which is rare and really appreciated and much needed when you’re just starting out.

Shoutout to the HR Team

A huge round of applaude to the HR folks at ADDTEQ , who made the onboarding process smooth and hassle-free. Right from the campus placement drive initiation, they’ve been super approachable and supportive, which honestly helped a lot with those first-day jitters. It’s great to have a support system you can rely upon. HR’s here are not only available for getting competitive resources, but also for day to day queries which any employee/ intern comes up, they are readily available to resolve them in no time, their response time is really quick . Their prompt assistance makes navigating the remote work environment so seamless and relaxed.

About my learning journey

Right now, I’m focused on the very first project assigned as an intern. I have prioritised upgrading my tech skills by understanding how code quality is maintained in software, and at this stage I want to grow myself as a successful software developer . I’ve already picked up so much in just a few months , and I’m excited for exploring new projects and opportunities in Addteq.

Grateful & Excited

Lastly, I feel genuinely fortunate to be part of ADDTEQ. Back in college, coding mostly felt like late-night vibe sessions experimenting, debugging with friends, and celebrating small wins at odd hours. Here, I’m getting exposed to the organised side of SaaS development where every task has structure, purpose, and clear expectations. Even simple things like raising a PR or following a workflow come with their own learning curve, but they teach discipline and consistency. These small shifts have already changed the way I think and approach problems, and I can feel myself learning and growing every single day. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and how much it shapes my career.
