From campus to code: My Remote Internship Journey with Addteq

I started my professional journey as a Software Development Intern, and that too at a paid remote internship at Addteq Inc., and now I am working as an Associate Software Developer on the same.

The opportunity came through the campus’s placement cell. After going through the roller coaster ride of assessments and interviews, I was finally selected and grabbing that offer letter was no less than a star on my shoulder.

The begining of Remote internship @ Addteq

In Addteq I joined as an intern in the Research and Development Team (R and D), and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my professional journey. From day one, the environment has been super welcoming and full of positivities. What stood out is how helpful everyone is and is readily available and accessible. Team members proactively check in and guide you, which is something I truly appreciate as someone who’s still learning the ropes.

Another thoughtful initiative here is the buddy system. One of the senior software engineers, Nishank pathak, was assigned as my buddy. He proved to be incredibly supportive and resourceful. He regularly checked-in my assigned tasks and offered help without me even asking for it. This in turn, made sure I never feel stuck or alone. Such small steps make a remarkable difference when you’re just getting started in a new space.

Working with a Passionate team

The R&D team here is not just supportive — it’s brilliant. The depth of knowledge within the team is inspiring, and the best part is that everyone is happy to share what they are best and skilled at. In one instance, there was an issue in my local development environment, which i couldn’t resolve. Soon one of the senior developer walked me through the entire debugging process step-by-step. He not only helped me to resolve the immediate issue but, more importantly, took the time to thoroughly explain why it was happening in the first place and how to systematically debug it myself next time.Whether it’s a quick tip, a best practice, or just a conversation around tech, there’s always something to learn. You really get the sense that growth and collaboration are part of the culture.

Grateful towards the HR’s

A big shoutout to the Addteq’s HR team as well. I really appreciate the onboarding process — it was smooth, well-coordinated, and my recruiter was always just a call away throughout the journey. Another aspect I really liked at Addteq is the leave policy, which thoughtfully includes interns, allowing 1 leave per month along with 2 floater leaves — something many organisations don’t offer during internships.
The rewards and recognition program is also worth highlighting. I was also refreshing, to find out that interns were also include in awards. One of my colleges, received the Synergy Starter Award . It truly made me feel like a part of the Addteq team, and not just an intern.

Future Prospects

Currently I prioritise learning, and contributing my level best to the tasks assigned. I’m focusing on improvising my tech skills, and deep dive in to how actually the development works , with this aim I am looking forward to grow both as a coder and a supportive – contributing team member.

Conclusion

Overall, I feel genuinely lucky to be part of Addteq. Addteq is a remote world where people care, and the road to learning never stops, and support is always around the corner — sometimes even before you ask for it! I’m truly enjoying every moment here and can’t wait to see what the rest of this journey has in store.
